Account Deletion Request

You have the right to request permanent deletion of your QuickX account and personal data. Please read this page carefully before submitting a request.

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Once your account is deleted, your login access, wallet balances, and personal profile are permanently erased. Any pending exchanges or unclaimed funds must be resolved before you submit a deletion request. We cannot recover a deleted account.

How to Request Account Deletion

Follow these steps in order. Your request cannot be processed until all outstanding activity is cleared and your identity is confirmed.

    Resolve all pending activity

    Before requesting deletion, log in to your account and ensure:

    • There are no pending or in-progress exchanges.
    • Your wallet balance is zero — withdraw any remaining funds to a bank or crypto address.
    • All bulk payout jobs have been completed or cancelled.
    • There are no open disputes or compliance holds on your account.

    If your account has a compliance hold, deletion cannot proceed until the hold is lifted. Contact compliance@quickx.ng for assistance.

    Download your transaction records (optional)

    Once your account is deleted, you will no longer have access to your transaction history through the QuickX platform. We recommend exporting your records before proceeding:

    • Go to Dashboard → Transactions → Export to download a CSV of your full history.
    • Download individual PDF receipts for any transactions you need for accounting or tax purposes.

    Submit a deletion request by email

    Send an email to privacy@quickx.ng with the subject line: Account Deletion Request. Your email must include:

    • The full name registered on your account.
    • The email address linked to your QuickX account.
    • The phone number on your account.
    • A clear statement: "I request permanent deletion of my QuickX account and associated personal data."

    Requests sent from an email address that does not match your account cannot be processed for security reasons.

    Identity confirmation

    To protect you from unauthorised deletion requests, our team will verify your identity before proceeding. We will send a one-time verification code to both your registered email and phone number. You must confirm both codes within 24 hours of receiving them.

    If you no longer have access to your registered phone number, include this in your email and our team will arrange an alternative verification method.

    Processing & confirmation

    Once your identity is confirmed, your request will be processed within 14 calendar days. You will receive a final confirmation email when deletion is complete. Your account access is suspended immediately upon confirmation and permanently erased at the end of the processing window.

What Happens to Your Data

Not all data can be immediately deleted. Some records must be retained to comply with Nigerian financial regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) laws, and our licensing obligations.

Device & session logs
IP addresses, device fingerprints, login timestamps

Marketing preferences & consents
Email opt-ins, notification settings, referral data

Billing & fee records
Fees charged, refunds issued, invoice records
Retained 7 years — required for tax and audit purposes

Retained data is held securely, access-restricted, and used exclusively for regulatory compliance. It is not used for marketing or shared with third parties beyond what our Privacy Policy permits.

Consider These Alternatives

Account deletion is permanent. Depending on your situation, one of the following options may better meet your needs:

Temporarily deactivate your account

You can request a temporary account suspension that keeps your history and KYC intact for when you return. Email support@quickx.ng to arrange this.

Opt out of marketing only

If your concern is receiving communications, you can unsubscribe from all marketing emails and notifications in Settings → Notifications without deleting your account.

Change your personal details

If your concern is inaccurate data, you have the right to request correction of your personal information. Contact privacy@quickx.ng with the subject line: Data Correction Request.
